The hardest thing to find is a beautiful soul covered by a beautiful exterior. Unfortunately physical beauty sometimes muddies the soul because vanity is such a wicked easy sin. Now, all we do is lie in wait for some inspired people to come and write essays on how we should love and which kind of guy/girl suits us. Tick tock.
I thought this was going to be an article on how compliments of physical traits are relatively shallow and empty for the modern day woman. Of how being recognized as intelligent, humorous, generous or willful has much more substance than that of the former. We should be empowering females with words of true value, not deducing them to the likes of this article.
Of course, the last time is always the first time when the two of you met. You were stunned by the way that she was. Over the course of time, your mind's perception of the ideal partner would surface, and thus you systematically tear apart the woman to build your creation. Every "you should lose a couple pounds", "Why do you always look so pale", "Candace Swanpoel was so hot in the recent show, you should be like her" slowly destroys the natural her. And you wonder why you think to yourself after a couple years "She aint the girl I met".
